Allowing FTP Access for Devs

Sometimes we want to grant FTP access to devs - we would prefer to restrict their access to the public_html folder or whatever is serving the site in question.

On Blackbarn - or whatever server go to cPanel of the account in question > Files > FTP Accounts > Add FTP account - fill in the details - make the top level directory you want them to be able to see the 'directory' and then Create FTP Account

Details to then send them

FTP Host: server Name - usually blackbarn.ywdw.org

Username: login + domain - so in the example above This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 

Password: the password you created
